I Don’t Have Many Friends Episode 1 Roundup

Saturday, 8 October, 2011

Another new anime that I will be watching for the falls season. Hasegawa Kodaka has transferred schools, and he’s having a hard time making friends. It doesn’t help that his blond hair tends to make people think he’s a delinquent. One day, he runs into his bad-tempered solitary classmate Yozora while she’s talking animatedly to her imaginary friend Tomo. Realizing that neither of them have any actual friends, they decide that the best way to alter this situation is to form a club and start recruiting. Read the rest of this entry »

Tamayura: Hitotose Episode 1 Roundup

Friday, 7 October, 2011

The story takes place in Seto Inland Sea and is about a girl who likes taking pictures. This is on of my most anticipated anime in the Fall list.. Why? Slice of life. I must say I’m a fan of slice-of-life series, since I can appreciate the slow pacing of the show and simply enjoy of atmosphere created by the series. The most of what your going to hear about this anime is its relaxing calm and temperant. It is soo relaxing it made me get in a better mood. I have to tell you that this was significantly better than what I expected. I watched the OVA and it isn’t as good as this.

Kimi to Boku Episode 1 Roundup

Friday, 7 October, 2011

Kimi to Boku..I decided to give this anime a try. Lets start of with the short synopsis for the anime. The story revolves around four teens — the good-looking twins Yuuta and Yuuki Asaba, the effeminate Shun Matsuoka, and the class head Kaname Tsukahara — who have known each other since early childhood. While they are not necessarily good or bad friends, they continue to hang out well into high school. Another relaxing anime for the Fall season. Which is actually good in my opinion. I didn’t expect much at first, but I have to say this anime has potential. Read the rest of this entry »

Hunter x Hunter 2011 Episode 1 Roundup

Tuesday, 4 October, 2011

This anime is a remake of the 1999 TV series based on the manga by Togashi Yoshihiro. Story is about Gon, a spiky-haired kid who yells a lot, is going to take the Hunter exams and follow in the footsteps of his incredibly hot dad. I haven’t watched the original. So I’m looking at it from a fresh perspective. I normally watch shounen show like Naruto, Bleach, Toriko and a few others, so I think why not give it a try. As all the other shounen series, the story seems to goes in the direction where the characters gets stronger and clear all the obstacles ahead. Overall the graphic, art and color are simple, clean and bright. The atmospheres of the show is friendly and vivid. Just like the graphic, the music and song are also very upbeat and vivid in its own way. Whereas at some scene the BGM (background music) might be a bit too vivid and cheerful sounding.

Base on what my friends told me, in comparison to the 1999, 2011 is more fast paced and some might even think it have cut of essential parts such as the appearing of Kaito/Kite or the deep bond between Gon and Mito. What was essential with these parts are to established Gon’s character and innocence yet strong determination to find his father. While in 1999 we could learn Gon’s resolved heart and longing to find his father, but in 2011 we could only see his curiosity and excitement of departing off from Whale Island to become a Hunter.

I’ll definitely watch a few more episode , depending how the story goes it might go up or down. The downfall of this serie is whether it will become a typical shounen and gets dragged on with infinite fight and battles or if it can develop into a more in depth story.
